Bollard
A bollard is a short, sturdy vertical post used to control or direct traffic and secure an area. Bollards are commonly used to protect buildings and pedestrians from vehicle collisions, especially in high-traffic areas such as city centers, airports, and shopping centers. They can be made of various materials, including concrete, steel, and plastic, and can be designed to be fixed or removable. Removable bollards are often used to allow access for emergency vehicles or deliveries, while fixed bollards are used to create a permanent barrier. Bollards can also be equipped with lighting, reflectors, and other safety features to increase their visibility and effectiveness.
